In 2022, Macmillan Caring Locally introduced their Hospice at Home service with clinical led care, allowing patients with complex symptoms to get the expert care and support they need from a team of specialists at home.

Story

As you may know my Dad passed away in July this year and was cared for in the last weeks of his life by the amazing MacMillan Caring Locally team. They have been the most amazing and supportive team of people so we would like to give something back to them.

Myself, Georgia, Katie, James, Jo & Ethan are taking part in either the 10k or Half Marathon Run Bournemouth events on 12th October to raise money for this brilliant charity.

We would really appreciate any donations big or small.

Hospice at Home matters

With your support, more families can cherish precious moments together, and more patients can fulfil their final wish of dying in the loving comfort of home.

You matter because you are you. You matter to the last moment of your life, and we will do all we can, not only to help you die peacefully, but also to live fully until you die.

When someone you love receives a life-limiting diagnosis, everyday moments can be overshadowed by medical concerns. Our Hospice at Home team steps in to manage the complex aspects of care, allowing you to focus on what truly matters—being present with each other. We handle the medical needs so you can simply be a family again.
