Story
This summer I shall be one of 17 riders taking part in The European Wanderers’ ‘Milan to Innsbruck’ charity bike ride. This is a 400-mile, four-day bike ride from The capital of Italy to the mountains of Austria with the aim of raising a combined minimum total of £10,000 for 4 different charities.
Our chosen charities are: Mind, The Alzheimers Society, AMMF and Tommy’s
Starting in Milan the first day of riding takes us some 112 miles alongside Lake Como and up into the mountains. On day two, another 100 miler, we hit the huge and iconic climb of the Stelvio Pass which warms us up for day three when we ride further into the Dolomites to the Sellaronda. The fourth and final day of the ride takes us north along weaving cycle routes towards a well-earned rest in Innsbruck.
