I have chosen to run for Worldwide Cancer Research as it holds such a strong place in mine and my family hearts.

Recently, my partner Henry sadly lost his dad to cancer. James Green was diagnosed with bowel cancer over 5 year ago, he went through several treatments and many surgeries however after a long hard battle he recently lost his fight.

James was an incredible man and taken from us far too soon, he always knew how to light up the room. He will never be forgotten and will be missed incredibly by all his family and friends. We love you James, rest peacefully ❤️

Back in 2012 my Mum was also diagnosed with breast cancer and a few months later my Auntie received the same news. They both went through chemotherapy and surgery, we then discovered that the family do carry the bracca 1 gene. After being cleared for 10 years, sadly cancer returned for both my mum and Auntie, after more rounds of chemo, radiation and surgery they both thankfully got the all clean. I am so proud of both my mum and Auntie, they're incredible brave and strong women.

Cancer is such a horrible disease that has not only just affected my family but also so many others everyday.
