Story

Little Green Sock is an amazing charity helping so many families in the Greater Manchester area.

Since 2022, Little Green Sock Project has:

⭐️ supported over 1,300 children

⭐️redistributed more than £240,000 worth of essential items like clothing, cots, prams, and stair gates to local families

⭐️saved 20 tonnes of items from landfill

⭐️supported 29% of families who are fleeing abuse

However, they are at risk of closure following news that the charity’s current premises in Stretford Mall are scheduled for demolition in 2025.

Without securing a new premises, the baby bank’s services — a lifeline for families across Trafford, Salford, and Manchester — will be forced to close, leaving the Trafford area without any baby bank provision.

After volunteering with the charity earlier this year, I got an insight into how much the charity is doing for the community and what losing a lifeline like this would do to local families.

To support the amazing work the charity are doing, I’m fundraising for the Great Manchester Run this May!

Any donations made will make such a difference to the cause and support the community who need the facilities the most.
