Thank you for visiting my page.
The running shoe's are back on and I will be taking on the Royal Parks Half Marathon during Baby Loss Awareness Week to raise money for Abigail's Footsteps, a charity that provides invaluable support to families facing the devastating loss of a baby.
Many of you will know that my cousin Emma and her husband Niall sadly lost their precious baby boy, Marley James, in December 2023. During a routine scan, they were given the heart breaking news that Marley had a serious heart defect, and sadly there was nothing that could be done to save him. At nearly six months pregnant, they faced the unimaginable decision to end the pregnancy and then give birth to their much-loved son.
The journey from receiving that devastating news to delivering Marley was incredibly traumatic for Emma, Niall and their family. However, one thing that brought them comfort during those darkest days was being able to spend precious time with Marley after his birth.
This was made possible by a Cooling Cot, a specialist cot that gently preserves a baby's body, allowing families to stay with and create memories with their child instead of having to say goodbye immediately. Emma and Niall were able to spend two precious days with Marley, moments they will treasure forever.
The Cooling Cot they used was provided through Abigail's Footsteps. These cots cost around £3,000 each, and the charity works tirelessly to fund them for hospitals across the UK, ensuring other families facing baby loss can receive the same comfort and support.
There have also been brighter moments since that heart breaking time. In February 2025, Emma and Niall welcomed their beautiful daughter, Margo, into the world, and earlier this year they celebrated their wedding surrounded by family and friends. Their children, Henry and Honey, played special roles on the day, making it an occasion filled with love, hope and cherished memories.
Today, Emma and Niall are proud ambassadors for Abigail's Footsteps, a charity that will always hold a special place in their hearts.
By supporting my fundraising, you are helping Abigail's Footsteps continue their incredible work and ensuring other families can receive the comfort, dignity and support they need during the most difficult times imaginable.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity and ongoing support. It truly means so much
