Story
80 kilometers. 7 days. 12 women.
This October, I’m putting on my hiking boots and heading to the mountains of Japan for a tough 7-day trek. I'm pushing my own limits to support a group of inspiring women on the frontlines of climate change: the seaweed farmers of Fiji.
Using knowledge passed down for generations, these women harvest a local seaweed called nama (sea grapes). It might sound simple, but this seaweed does incredible things. It helps clean our oceans, protects sea life, and gives these women a way to earn an income and run their own businesses. They are quietly leading the fight against climate change, but they need our help to keep going.
With your support, I hope to reach my fundraising goal of US$4,000 and contribute to making a meaningful difference through this initative. I would be incredibly grateful for any contributions and the support to help make a positive impact!
