I'm back on the water - and I’ve brought reinforcements.

After paddling for 10 years in Singapore, I’ve returned to dragon boat racing with a mission: to raise money for the Burlington Schools Association. But I didn’t come alone.

In a moment of questionable judgment and great enthusiasm, I convinced 15 complete beginners to join me in this wet, wild, and wobbly adventure. They’ve never raced before, some had never even held a paddle. Yet here we are—training, paddling, and laughing our way toward race day.

We may not be the fastest crew on the water, but we’ve got heart, humour, and a shared commitment to supporting Burlington Schools Association!
