Burlington’s First Ever Dragon Boat Team! 🐉🚣‍♀️

On Sunday 20th July 2025, a team of 16 brave and determined mums – all brand new to paddling – will take on the exciting challenge of the Canbury Gardens Dragon Boat Race. Representing Burlington’s first ever dragon boat team, we’re swapping the school run for river runs and paddling our hearts out to raise vital funds for the Burlington Schools Association.

None of us have ever paddled before (well one of us had and she had this crazy idea), but we’re diving headfirst into training, teamwork, and a whole lot of water (and probably laughter too!). Our goal is to support the fantastic work the Burlington Schools Association does for the children, teachers, and families of Burlington Infants and Juniors – from funding enrichment activities to improving facilities and resources.

We’d be incredibly grateful for any support you can offer – whether it’s cheering us on from the riverbank or making a donation to our page. Every pound brings us closer to our goal and helps enhance the learning environment for our children.
