Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Palliative care and availability of oral pain relief in Africa is critically undeserved, being accessible to less than 10% of those who need it. By undertaking a gruelling gravel bike ride with seven friends, cycling over 300 miles in one week this May, we aim to raise funds to support Hospice Africa in it's mission to address this health inequality. Having spent time in Uganda volunteering with this charity, I have witnessed first hand the incredible difference that it makes to the lives of many. By training volunteers and health professionals from across the continent, compassionate care reaches some of the most vulnerable patients and their families enabling them to die with dignity. This May sees Hospice remembering the life of it's visionary founder Dr Anne Merriman MBE who's inspiration and tireless work with her team has
furthered the provisionof care from 3 to 37 African countries. A donation of £20 will pay for essential medication for a week, £50 will pay for home nursing care for 7 patients; £200 will payfor a specialist nurses salary for 1 month. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
