Hi, my name is Hazel and I'm fundraising to be able to take part in SomerTREK 2027 next Summer (July 2027) with a group of 50+ Scouts from Somerset. I'm very lucky to have been selected for this amazing 16-day trip, which will involve traveling by bus to Germany, Italy, and Switzerland. We will stay at Kandersteg International Scouts centre in the Bernese Alps for a week, along with hundreds of other Scouts from across Europe where we will take part in lots of exciting outdoor activities and challenges. On the way back we will also get to visit Disneyland Paris for a day!

This once-in-a-lifetime trip will be a chance for me to explore new cultures, learn from different experiences and grow in confidence and independence.

To raise the £2,500 I need to fund the trip I have already started by washing cars for family and friends, doing gardening jobs at home and running stalls at local fairs etc throughout the year. With some of my Scouting friends I plan to do a big sponsored Abseil at Uphill Quarry near Weston-super-Mare on 25th June - which will involve a drop of 150ft (45M)!
