Story
I'm fundraising for Dimensions' "Small Sparks" fund.
I pledge to do at least 50,000 steps in March to help fundraise £50,000 for Dimensions, the organisation I work for. We support people with learning disabilities and autism. We're passionate about what we do and have set up "Small Sparks" to raise money to provide grants to help find work, create friendship groups, develop hobbies or improve independence.
Mark successfully applied for a Small Sparks grant to buy a laptop to help him expand his advocacy and speaking work; Jordan used his to buy tools to help him become a mechanic; Denise used hers to buy a new bike to help her become more independent; And Phil used his to make an important film about equal rights and paid employment.
I could normally do 50,000 steps in a weekend whilst exploring a European city. One of my favourite things to do as I love to explore new places. However, today 1st March I'm a week post emergency spinal surgery and to walk 500 steps today was quite exhausting.
I'm pledging to walk small slow steps every day to support Small Sparks.
If you could help transform other people's lives, please give now. Thank you.
