The incredible Ashgate Hospice supported mum at home and then at their in-patient facility. The cost of that care is only partially paid for by government grants and a huge £8million a year is still needed from fundraising. Mum's care would have "cost" the charity around £4000 - £5000.

Ashgate Hospice provides specialist palliative care to people with life-limiting illnesses across North Derbyshire in their own homes. They also have an in-patient unit based in Chesterfield, providing 24 hour care for those who need it.
