I have been an equine photographer for several years now and I've decided to undertake a personal project to photograph as many recognised equine breeds as possible. This doesn't just include horses but ponies, donkeys, mules and hopefully even a Zebra or two who are all part of the Equus genus.

The ultimate aim is to produce a book sometime in the future but as it is a mammoth undertaking it could take a few years.

I decided what could be better but to also make this a fundraiser to support a charity and in 2023 The Devon Air Ambulance was an obvious choice as they are often rescuing horse riders across the county. The Devon Air Ambulance don't get any government funding and rely entirely on private donations. I am asking all participants to contribute £25 per horse to The Devon Air Ambulance via this Just Giving page.

I started this project in June 2021 and will see where it takes me. There are over 400 recognised breeds worldwide and even if I can photograph a tenth of that I will raise an incredible amount for charity.
