Help your Hospitals by abseiling down the QMC and raising funds for the area of the Hospitals closest to your heart.

Story

I have lived with the invisible weight of sickle cell anaemia. From the outside, I look like any other woman—strong, warm, and full of life. But behind my smile are nights filled with excruciating pain, countless hospital stays, and moments where even breathing feels like a battle.

Sickle cell doesn’t take breaks. It interrupts birthdays, careers, events and dreams. It means missing out on school, work, and everyday joys we often take for granted. I've had to learn how to live in survival mode—never knowing when a pain crisis will strike or how long it will last.

Despite it all, I will keeps fighting. But I can’t do it alone.

🧗‍♀️ Why I’m Abseiling 100ft

I’m taking on the challenge of abseiling down Nottingham QMC Hospital which is 100 ft high and one of the UK's tallest hospitals not because I’m fearless, but because people like myself face bigger fears every single day. This isn’t just about conquering heights. It’s about raising awareness, funding vital research, and supporting families who live with sickle cell’s daily realities.

Please support me if you can. Every pound makes a difference. Let’s stand (and climb!) for those who never stop fighting.

Your incredible fundraising allows us to continue to support all four Nottingham Hospitals (Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham City Hospital, Nottingham Children's Hospital and Ropewalk House) and will support thousands of patients across Nottingham when they need it most.

Happy giving guys! :D
