As you may be aware, kidney disease affects many people around the world and has had a HUGE impact on my little sister Caroline and our families lives.

After being diagnosed with end stage renal failure in 2016, life was extremely difficult for her whilst she was having dialysis treatment. Thankfully, she was lucky enough to receive a life saving transplant in June 2019, but, unfortunately, this failed last year and she has found herself back having dialysis 4 times a week again just to survive.

Unfortunately, organ transplants aren't a cure and things can still go wrong at any time, not to mention the awful side affects from the medication needed afterwards.

As a big sister, I feel so unbelievably guilty that there is nothing I can do for Caroline that can improve her quality of life and this is why I have decided to run for Kidney Care UK to try and raise much needed funds and even more awareness for this life changing disease.

I understand that times are hard for all of us, but please give what you can, big or small, and hopefully one day we can find a cure to stamp out renal failure once and for all.
