Story
There are 2 things that I have always said I wouldn’t do ( including in my brave days) - bungee jump and sky dive. I am doing the latter on July 18th in aid of the charity ‘Mission Jensen’.
Jensen is the son of one of my team at Wessex Internet. It is such a heart breaking story, I want to try and raise as much money as possible for him. Jensen was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy on 17th June 2019, 3 months before his 6th birthday. He is now 12 and Simon and his wife, have just received the devastating news that he is deteriorating far quicker than expected.
Thankfully my great friend, Sophie Martin is jumping too and is equally terrified!
I cry, merely at the thought of what I’ve taken on (going up in a small plane is a challenge in itself for me!) and I am now begging for sponsorship to make my terror worthwhile!! No donation is too small! Feel free to offer me lots of money not to do it!!! 😂🤢
Mission Jensen supports Duchenne UK a charity that has one clear aim to end Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).
DMD is a devastating muscle-wasting disease. It is the most common and severe form of muscular dystrophy. Diagnosed in childhood, it mainly affects boys. Started by families affected by the disease, Duchenne UK is the leading DMD charity in the UK: connecting the best researchers with industry, the NHS and families to advance and accelerate every stage of drug development.
Together, we will end Duchenne.
