As some of you know I've been a trustee with Brighter Futures Zambia (BFZ), since my early days back at VSO. This tiny charity is on a mission to empower vulnerable children and young people to achieve brighter futures and do that through working with some amazing women's groups in Monze, Zambia.

Over the years many of you have graciously donated to help us support children's education, well being sessions and build a pre-school. Thank you so much! I am now stepping down as a trustee due to getting myself into a few too many other commitments and wanted to take this opportunity to support fundraising efforts.

The challenge - back pre-kids perhaps you could have thrown at me that a half-marathon wasn't challenge enough.... but that was before a torn ACL, pregnancies and physios telling me that perhaps running was not my sport anymore and I should take up swimming. With a huge amount of gratitude to the Brighton and Hove's Women's running club who have helped me take it slow and just enjoy running the half is now in sight. My aim is to get round injury free!
