As many of you know (especially those who have listened to me moan about the liquid diet for the last 8 weeks), I have Crohn's. During my own time since diagnosis Crohn's and Colitis UK have been an incredibly valuable resource. HOWEVER I am not raising money with mainly myself in mind. My best friend of many years (about 25 now you get less for robbing a bank but let's not go there), has an incredibly beautiful, brave, kind, thoughtful, loving and hilarious daughter with Ulcerative Colitis. As Maya and me unfortunately have this in common, we often speak about our conditions and the way Maya has dealt with a chronic illness at her young age with such maturity absolutely blows me away. She is my hero, and even when we are both poorly at the same time, it's usually her texting me encouragement! When I reached out to her once to say how sorry I was she was going through this she said "everyone has struggles and this is mine".

So this fundraiser is to help Crohn's and Colitis UK do their valuable work supporting and raising awareness for people that may be struggling with IBD at an age similar to hers and will need their help in the future.

This is also for people like @beffybadbelly & @stomababe on Twitter (I'm never going to call it X, suck your Mum Elon), who spend time not only dealing with these chronic conditions, and still helping and guiding others and raising awareness.

If the parachute doesn't open Lisa has my funeral plans.
