Story
Ken and Neil’s LEJOG cycle May 2026
We are two brothers cycling Land’s End to John o’ Groats in May 2026 (23 or 24 days). At the ages of 60 and 58, and with an absence from regular cycling for 30+ years, it’s time to enjoy this new journey and challenge (1,176 miles which is a longer LEJOG route 75% on roads and 25% traffic-free) whilst raising whatever funds we can for two great charities.
One charity is ‘Julia’s House Dorset & Wiltshire Children’s Hospices’ which is an award-winning children’s hospice charity that provides a "lifeline of care" for families in Dorset and Wiltshire who are looking after a child with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition.
Unlike traditional hospices, much of their work is community-based, with nurses and carers travelling to family homes to provide flexible, tailored respite care that gives exhausted parents a much-needed break.
Their holistic approach supports the entire family—including siblings and grandparents—through specialist clinical care, bereavement support, and emotional counselling, all aimed at breaking the cycle of isolation and anxiety.
Your support will be well received and contribute so much to this unbelievable charity.
Thank you
