I am completing this challenge to help celebrate Acorn Villages milestone year. 50 years ago, in 1972, Acorn Village opened it's doors to its first 13 residents with learning disabilities. It now supports over 55 residents and tenants and over 100 people benefit from workshops facilitated by Day Services.

At Acorn Village we continue to enhance the lives of adults with learning disabilities and make a difference, fulfilling the motto 'Life is for Living'. We make sure every adult lives their life to their full potential achieving skills and life ambitions in a safe and nurturing environment.
