We live in a very unbalanced world, where some of the basic essentials that we have, others do not. Elgon Empowerment is trying to help balance this out a little, at least for a few of the communities that we support in Uganda.

I will be walking for Elgon Empowerment in September to help raise funds that will allow us to continue the support to our partnered communities in their empowerment of women and girls living in poverty.

We are once again working with our trusted local leaders in rural Uganda and your donations will be spent providing sewing machines, materials and comprehensive training for women, enabling them to produce their own reusable sanitary products and supply their communities.

Any additional funds beyond this will go towards our education workshops for both womens and mens groups. And over time, we plan to expand these out to even more communities within the area we work.
