We’re the UK’s leading charity for Crohn’s and Colitis. Right now, over 500,000 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of. We’re working to improve diagnosis and treatment; to fund research and to raise awareness.

Story

As a lot of people know, on Friday 24th may, Nick passed away after bravely fighting cancer.

Unfortunately, this was not the only battle Nick faced in his life. From a very young age there was concerns about his health. Around the age of 10 years old, Nick was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, a condition that causes inflammation of the bowel.

Over the years Nick felt he lived in the bathroom, glued to the toilet, but when he off the toilet, he was dealing with fatigue, joint pain and skin issues. All side effects to his condition.

We would like to raise money for Crohn’s & Colitis UK in Nick's memory. I know he would want to do anything he possibly could to help improve diagnosis and treatment, and to fund research into a cure; to raise awareness and to give people hope, comfort and confidence to live freer, fuller lives. He would also want to help remove the stigma of the disease for future generations, like his second cousin Ollie, who is sadly going through an almost identical journey with Crohn's disease.

Losing Nick has been so painful for so many people. Nick was a ray of sunshine who was always smiling and lived a happy life. We will miss Nick everyday.

I know Nick would love that we are raising money for Crohn’s & Colitis UK in his Memory. We are so grateful for whatever money anybody can spare for the charity.

Thankyou

Kim & everyone in the Sarjant family.
