Story
Every 3 minutes, someone in the UK dies from cardiovascular disease.
Whether it's losing a loved one to cardiac arrest or coping with the devastating impact of heart failure, far too many of us have felt the pain that cardiovascular diseases cause. British Heart Foundation (BHF) wants to see a world where everyone has a healthier heart for longer.
Powered by BHF-funded research at King's our researchers, clinicians, and PhD students across the King's BHF Centre of Research Excellence are pushing forward discoveries in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. They see first-hand how vital it is to raise the funds needed to drive scientific breakthroughs.
Each February, our King’s BHF research community comes together for Heart Month, rallying behind a shared goal: to raise vital funds that keep life‑saving research moving forward.
Whether you’re:
* Walking for Hearts around campus or your local park
* Joining in the walk-to-work week
Every penny raised will help towards achieving our vision of a world where everyone has a healthier heart, for longer.
Join our STRAVA club - 'King's College London BHF CRE - Walk for Hearts 2026' and help us reach 100 miles this February.
