Story
In November, we lost Billy after his brave battle with cancer.
In his final days, Billy was cared for at Marie Curie Hospice in Glasgow. The compassion and respect shown to him, and to our family, meant more than we can put into words. The nurses and staff made sure he was comfortable and treated with dignity, while also supporting us through an incredibly difficult time. They gave us the space and reassurance we needed to be together and focus on what mattered most.
This June, our family will be taking on the Beat the 3 Lochs 13-mile trail to raise money for Marie Curie in Billy’s memory and to say thank you for the exceptional care he received. By supporting us, you’ll be helping Marie Curie continue to provide specialist end-of-life care to families when they need it most. We want other families facing the hardest of times to receive the same level of care and support that meant so much to us.
If you’re able to donate, we would be incredibly grateful. No matter the size, every donation will make a real difference. Every contribution will help Marie Curie continue providing expert care, comfort and dignity to those living with terminal illness, and vital support for the families around them. Thank you for helping us honour Billy’s memory and support this essential work.
