Story

We are heartbroken to share that our beloved Alan Gilmour passed away peacefully at the age of 84, after a courageous battle with heart disease. He was the kindest, most lovely man — a devoted husband, a wonderful dad, and a deeply adored grandad. His gentle nature, warmth, and love for his family touched everyone who knew him.

Alan had a special bond with his grandsons, and his love for them knew no bounds. In honour of his memory, we are asking for donations to be made to Duchenne UK instead of flowers. Duchenne muscular dystrophy is a condition close to our hearts, as his grandson lives with it every day.

We know that helping in the fight to find a cure for Duchenne would mean the world to Alan. Supporting this cause is a way we can carry forward his love, strength, and compassion — and help make a better future for children like his grandson.

Thank you so much for your kindness, support, and generosity during this difficult time. Your donation is a meaningful tribute to a truly wonderful man.

With love and gratitude,

The Gilmour Family
