I'm Running the Tamworth 10K for Tamworth Samaritans

On Sunday 18th October 2026, I'll be taking part in the Tamworth 10K to raise funds for Tamworth Samaritans, a local charity that provides emotional support to anyone struggling to cope.

Every day, Samaritans volunteers are there for people experiencing loneliness, anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties, financial worries, mental health challenges and thoughts of suicide. They offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where people can talk openly and be listened to.

Tamworth Samaritans is an independent local charity run by around 80 trained volunteers. Last year, they responded to more than 10,000 calls and emails from people in emotional distress across Tamworth, Lichfield, Burton and the surrounding communities.

The service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and relies heavily on fundraising and donations to continue its vital work.
