The Ladybird boat provides trips on the river for disadvantaged, disabled, elderly and for educational purposes who live locally. Groups include care homes, sheltered accommodation, friendship groups, schools, scout movement and many groups dealing with illness. Based at Hartford Marina we carry up to 20 passengers, many in wheelchairs,to St Ives or Brampton. All our crew are volunteers and we do not charge for trips but are reliant on donations to meet our costs of around £25,000 per year.
