Story

Thank you so much for visiting my JustGiving page!

On Sunday 26th April 2026, I’ll be taking on one of the biggest challenges of my life: running my first ever TCS London Marathon, all in support of St Catherine’s Hospice.

Running the London Marathon has been a lifelong dream of mine (although I might reconsider that during some of the tougher training sessions!). After over 10 years of trying through ballots, charity applications, and plenty of crossed fingers, I’m absolutely thrilled and incredibly grateful to have finally secured a charity place with St Catherine’s Hospice.

St Catherine’s Hospice is an amazing local charity based in Crawley, offering compassionate, expert end-of-life care and support to people across Sussex and East Surrey. Their mission is to make sure nobody faces death and loss alone.

Over the years, I’ve taken part in their Midnight Walk with my mum and sister, and have always felt inspired and humbled by the work they do. The difference they make to individuals and families at such vulnerable times is truly remarkable.

As those of you who know me will know, I’m not a natural born runner and running certainly doesn’t come easily to me. Which is exactly why this challenge means so much. I’m determined to push myself out of my comfort zone in support of a truly incredible charity.

To kick-start both my training and fundraising, I’ll be running the Barns Green Half Marathon this September, again in support of St Catherine’s. I’m hoping this will gently ease me into the much longer training runs that begin in the new year!

The hospice relies on donations to offer pioneering end of life care and support to people in Sussex and East Surrey and every penny counts. So whether you can give a little or a lot, your support won’t just help me reach the finish line—it will help provide comfort, dignity, and care to those who need it most.

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.
