We are Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. We stop at nothing to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. Because we believe no childhood should be lost to illness.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Clemo and Joe are taking on the London2Brighton 62 mile run in memory of Billy. As always they are both a great support of our charity so please help and support them and donate it really means a lot however big or small

At 6 weeks old Billy started having seizures and was rushed to hospital. After weeks of tests the local hospital did not have any answers and so was transferred to Great Ormond Street. After more intense tests we got the devastating news that Billy had a very rare disease called Menkes and that he would not make it to his 3rd birthday. If it was not for this hospital and their research and care for Billy we would have lost him sooner. Billy was only the 2nd baby ever to be diagnosed with this disease at the hospital. He sadly died just after his 1st birthday.
