Story
In honour of our grandad, Caitlin and I are taking part in the MS Walk 2024, by completing a 10k.
Our grandad Alan, sadly passed away in 2010 at the age of 68. He was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis when he was 34. MS meant he had to cut his promising career in the fire service short and our grandma became his full time carer. Unfortunately, his condition continued to decline and he was confined to a wheelchair for the last 20 years of his life.
We’ve seen first hand the effect MS had on grandad and our family. We want to aid the progression of research to help others.
MS is an unpredictable and incurable condition that affects people's nervous systems. It can attack suddenly or progress steadily, bringing a range of symptoms which can include sight loss, incontinence, fatigue and mobility problems. No-one with MS can be sure when or how it will affect them next.
Your donations will go towards life-changing MS research. Thank you so much x
