Story
It’s 8am on a Saturday morning, and I’m lacing up my trainers for another run. Just like last Saturday, and the one before that. But running has become so much more than the start of my weekend. It’s a way to build confidence, friendship, fitness and most importantly, a way to turn my anxious mind into a peaceful one.

That’s why I’m running the 2026 London Marathon. Not only to keep my own mind healthy, but also to raise money for a charity that helps others rebuild their lives after a period of mental ill health.
Restore is an Oxfordshire-based mental health charity whose work benefits thousands of people each year through coaching, training, and structured therapeutic activity. Every year, Restore supports over 500 individuals on their journey to recovery from mental ill health.
In 2024, 87% of Restore’s members said they felt empowered and well supported, and 39% of coached members moved into work. Restore’s programmes provide hope, structure, and a genuine pathway to recovery, helping people rediscover confidence, purpose, and community.
If this sounds like a cause you want to support or if you just want to see me running 26.2 miles/42 kilometres through London in a cute outfit - I am truly grateful for any donations!
