Story
I’m lacing up my hiking boots and packing my headtorch for something that honestly scares me a little, but in the best possible way.
This March, I’m taking on the Cleveland 4 Peaks challenge, but not in daylight. I’ll be walking 13 miles through the dark, climbing Roseberry Topping, Captain Cook’s Monument, Codhill Heights and Highcliffe Nab, guided only by moonlight, a beam of torchlight and the determination to keep going.
But this challenge is about more than pushing myself. Every step I take is for the Great North Air Ambulance Service.
As I walk through the night, tired and cold, I’ll be thinking about the crews who fly into darkness, difficult weather and dangerous situations to save lives. My challenge lasts a few hours. The difference they make lasts a lifetime.
That’s why I’m asking for your support. Any donation, big or small, will help keep this life saving service operational and ready to answer the next call.
