Left Shark Louie runs the Royal Parks Half!

Royal Parks Half Marathon 2024 · 13 October 2024 ·
Hello! 😃 Thank you for stopping by ❤️
This October I'm going to be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon in support of Evelina London. But not just running! I'll be doing it in my Left Shark Louie costume, hopefully bringing a smile to many children (and adults!) along the way 🥰
I previously ran the London 10k in this suit (check out photos and finisher's video below), and am looking forward to the challenge of more than doubling that distance! There will be plenty of pictures and if I can figure out the tech, maybe even a live stream of the run... but only if we smash the target 😉
I've chosen to support the Evelina London hospital as they do so much for children day in, day out. Our own daugher Leia was a patient at Evelina's when she had allergies as a baby. As a first-time parent, any visit to the hospital is scary enough and the daunting prospect of a lifetime managing potentially severe allergies doubly so. The care, reassurance and support we were given throughout was amazing and we couldn't be more thankful. They were there when we needed them. I'm glad that I can support them a little bit by doing something fun and challenging.
Finally, this is Part One of my Left Shark Louie run challenge - Part Two is the full London Marathon in March!! Please consider supporting me for that as well, where I'm running for the World Wildlife Fund, in the shark suit, the full 26.2 miles (!), raising funds and awareness for the plight of sharks and all wildlife that are being threatened with extinction and destruction. About the Evelina London Children's Hospital:
Every year more than 103,000 children and young people experience the wonderful warmth of Evelina London, which is part of Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. They see first-hand the care and passion of the Evelina London team who are exploring new approaches and creating ground-breaking care for children and young people.
To give you an idea of the impact of your donation:
£20 could help put a child's mind at ease with imaginative toys, books and games that explain what happens in hospital.
£50 could help the team put together amazing rucksacks full of distraction toys for every ward and department.
£100 could give every child the chance to escape into their favourite film, by buying more DVD players with headphones.
Thank you so much for your support! ❤️
PS: With thanks, love and the greatest of gratitude to Katy Perry and her Left Shark dancer!
