Launching on Monday 3rd June, Team Schein are participating in a company-wide 4-week Step Challenge & Fundraiser, Step Into Summer, in aid of SUDC UK. Our mission? To unite as a team, conquer a collective step and fundraising goal, all while igniting some friendly competition along the way! SUDC stands for Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood, and is the term used to describe the sudden and unexpected death of a child between 1 and 18 years of age, which remains unexplained after a thorough investigation is conducted. SUDC UK is a charitable organisation dedicated to raising awareness, funding research, and providing support to families affected by sudden unexplained death in children. The SUDC Foundation is the only organisation worldwide with the specific purpose of addressing this tragic occurrence. In these instances, most often, a seemingly healthy child goes to sleep and never wakes up, as was the case for one of our own TSM’s children. See our campaign page to read Benjamin’s story (warning, sensitive content), the inspiration and driving force behind Step Into Summer.
