Story

As many of you know, almost 4 years ago, my son Tom had a life saving kidney transplant with a kidney donated by his sister Tegan. This transplant has enabled Tom to return to doing all the things he loves.

The number of steps I am aiming to do in April (72,208) is the number of people living with a kidney transplant or on dialysis.

The National Kidney Federation is run by kidney patients to support kidney patients and their families. It runs a free UK Helpline dedicated to kidney patients with two fully trained, experienced advisers providing a 5-day-per-week service to kidney patients, carers and healthcare professionals and Renal Units. The NKF Helpline is also the UK's largest provider of kidney-related medical information leaflets with a library of over 200 titles written by nephrologists in simple language for patients and carers.

Please support this sponsored step challenge so the National Kidney Federation can continue its vital work in supporting patients.
