Hi, my name is Lewis Burnham! I am the marketing photographer for DUCFS 2026 this year and one of DUCFS’ only member of exec external to Durham University coming into the organisation after my third year at New College Durham University Centre to continue my creative practice.

I joined DUCFS to support Marie Curie in the North East, helping them to support those with terminal illnesses within our local community as a local of Durham being apart of DUCFS provides such great value towards our charities important to us.

For my fundraiser I am hosting a Sabrina Carpenter and Jacob Elordi Lookalike Contest at The Angel on the 22/01/26 with a prize up for grabs, which will be a night of fun entertainment.

We’re supporting two North East–based Marie Curie projects: the Companion Volunteer Service and the North East Clinical Educator Role. Together, they strengthen Marie Curie’s leading end-of-life care by providing personal support for individuals and professional training for staff.

We will also be supporting DUCFS Launchpad, our creative outreach platform. Through a series of projects focused on local community, arts, and music, Launchpad aims to ignite change in the North East.
