To celebrate Libby’s first birthday, we are coming together for a special challah bake, while raising money for the incredible Great Ormond Street Hospital, which has cared for Libby which has cared for Libby throughout her life.

Libby was born with multiple health complications, including holes in her heart and a bowel condition called Hirschsprung’s disease. At just three days old, she underwent major surgery and had a stoma formed. Through specialist genetic testing, Libby was later diagnosed with Mowat-Wilson syndrome, an extremely rare genetic condition that affects development and can cause a range of complex medical needs. Receiving this diagnosis early helped us better understand her needs and access important therapies and early intervention.

The specialist care she received was exceptional, and the hospital supported us through our darkest moments.

Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity stops at nothing to help give seriously ill children fuller, happier and longer childhoods. It believes that no childhood should be lost to illness, and we are incredibly grateful for everything the hospital did for Libby and our family.
