Linda's fundraiser for MS-UK

Linda Wright is raising money for MS-UK

Peterbrough Running Festival 5k · 28 June 2026

MS-UK is here to support anyone affected by multiple sclerosis (MS), which affects over 150,000 people in the UK. We empower people with MS to live healthier and happier lives by improving the understanding of the condition and providing support where it is needed most.

Story

More than 150,000 people are estimated to be living with multiple sclerosis (MS) in the UK, including me. I was diagnosed in January 2025. It is a lifelong individual neurological condition, often progressive, requiring ongoing management for symptoms like mobility, vision, and balance issues, with much uncertainty over what the future may bring.

I am on a disease-modifying therapy that reduces relapse rates, limits new brain/spinal cord inflammation, and slows disability progression. It does not cure MS, but manages the disease by reducing the number and severity of relapses.

There are likely to be good days and bad days but I am starting this journey with a positive mindset so please cheer me on when I "can" and give me a break when I "can't".

MS-UK was established in 1993, and is a national charity dedicated to empowering people with multiple sclerosis to make the most of today, and live life to the full.

MS-UK put people affected by MS at the heart of the work that they do. They provide high quality, professional services to support people living with multiple sclerosis, and they listen to people affected by MS.

Any donation you can make, big or small, will help MS-UK sustain their all-important services.

Thank you so much for your support!
