I’m representing hidden disabilities as the face of DEKA FIT UK on September 6th a huge privilege to have been selected, I’ll be the first person in the world to complete the event with a stoma. Pretty cool, right! I've taken on this challenge to show myself 'I can do this'

Training is tough (I won’t lie!) but I’m loving it. Having my stoma has saved my life and given me so much back. This is my new normal, and I’m embracing it. This is what healthy feels like. I cant explain how amazing it feels to be pain free and no long on any medication.

I’m pushing myself out of my comfort zone to show others that anything is possible with a stoma, when it comes to training though its about doing it safely and listening to your body.

Living with Ulcerative Colitis has been a rollercoaster, but it’s brought me to where I am today. Now, I’m ready to take on this challenge and give something back to a charity that supports so many people across the world — Crohn’s & Colitis UK.

They’re the UK’s leading charity for Crohn’s and Colitis. Around 500,000 people in the UK live with these lifelong, often invisible conditions and the real number could be much higher.

Too many still suffer in silence due to stigma and misunderstanding. But they’re not alone. This charity works to improve diagnosis and treatment, fund research into a cure, raise awareness, and offer hope and support to those affected.
