Story
My name is Lisa and for the past two and a half years I have been on a gruelling weight loss journey whilst setting myself challenges on the way. For my next big challenge I will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon to support Grief Encounter, a charity that provides vital support to children and young people who have lost someone they love.
Grief can be overwhelming, especially for children trying to understand and cope with loss. Grief Encounter offers free bereavement services tailored to each child’s needs, helping them heal and rebuild their lives.
One parent shared:
“Since Grief Encounter’s support, my son has returned to school with a spring in his step and has attended every day. He told me, ‘When Dad died I was 90% broken, and now I feel 10% broken.’ I really can’t thank Grief Encounter enough.”
By supporting my run, you’ll help fund these life-changing services, giving more children the chance to find hope and healing.
Every donation, big or small, makes a real difference. Please help me reach my target and support children through their grief.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
