I would like to give you a some background as to why I have chosen Dementia UK as my charity.

In September 2021 my lovely uncle John (Fitzgibbon) was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia. For those of you fortunate enough to know uncle John will know just how devastating this news was. Before his diagnosis he was one of the funniest, kindest, most generous, easy going (although his children might not agree) and entertaining people I know.

With this in mind, I have decided to enter the Great North Run 2024 to raise money for this wonderful charity.
