Team: Lisa and Steph are fundraising for Invisible Traffick NI

Invisible traffick 10k · 27 September 2025

This September we are running the Seaton Classic 10K Road Race (formerly Bangor 10K) to raise funds to help continue our work of raising awareness of human trafficking modern slavery right here in Northern Ireland.

Story

We have both been really moved by the horror of sex trafficking on women and girls and wanted to do something to support the brilliant work addressing this issue.

We have dusted down the runners and are working hard at the training, Steph hasn’t run in several decades so the challenge is real and she’s hoping Lisa can slow down enough for her!

Anything you give will encourage us to keep going with our training and we want to raise as much as we can for this amazing charity.

Thanks so much

Lisa and Steph

It is estimated that there are over 55 million people living in slavery across the globe today https://www.unseenuk.org/about-modern-slavery/facts-and-figures/ That's a staggering figure and hard to comprehend. The fight against modern slavery human trafficking is a global one that can seem so overwhelming.

At Invisible Traffick we believe that one of the best ways to help fight against it is through education, training and awareness. Since 2012 we have made it our mission to raise awareness of this crime and to ensure that people know how to identify the signs and indicators of modern slavery human trafficking and what that can look in our every day lives.

Through a small team of dedicated individuals we deliver education programmes to children and young people in schools, youth clubs and community settings. We want to safeguard children and young people whilst helping their support networks to understand how traffickers can exploit people.
