Listerdale Primary Academy - We're supporting Pride of Yorkshire

Emily Bates is raising money for Sheffield Children's Hospital Charity
Sheffield Children's Hospital Charity will be bringing Pride of Yorkshire, a brand new sculpture trail, to South Yorkshire in summer 2026 to celebrate 150 years of Sheffield Children's and raise vital funds.

Story

Here at Listerdale, we are supporting Sheffield Children's Hospital Charity We are excited to be taking part in the Pride of Yorkshire trail, where our school will design and decorate its very own lion cub sculpture to be displayed across South Yorkshire. Pupils will be involved in creating a unique design to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity, recognising the amazing care it provides for children and families. Once the trail ends, the lion cub will return to school as a lasting reminder of our creativity, community and pride. https://prideofyorkshire.org/

We will be doing some exciting events in school to raise money for this wonderful cause.

The Pride of Yorkshire sculpture trail celebrates a momentous milestone for Sheffield Children’s Hospital:150 years of extraordinary impact.

Funds raised through the Pride of Yorkshire will support cutting-edge research, vital new medical equipment, and therapeutic activities that bring warmth, innovation, and excellence to every corner of Sheffield Children’s. Whether it’s distraction tools and play workshops that ease anxiety, or pioneering breakthroughs that are shaping the future of children’s healthcare – every donation will help to build healthier futures for children and young people.

By supporting this campaign, you’re helping to create a hospital environment built with children in mind – for today, for tomorrow and for the next 150 years.
