Fundraiser for Team Guide Dogs and the TCS London Marathon 2025

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·
I am thrilled to fundraise for Guide Dogs! I was inspired by my cousin who lives with sight loss. She was placed on a waitlist for a guide dog, and that's when I first learned about the need outweighing the availability. When she was finally matched with a guide dog, her independence and confidence greatly improved!
The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. Guide Dogs empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service. Guide Dogs are almost entirely funded by donations and are the world’s largest assistance dog organization. They employ specialists dedicated to helping children and young people overcome the challenges of sight loss.
With your support, we can help children and adults to live actively, independently, and well.
How your sponsorship helps change the life of someone with sight loss:
• $20 could buy a ‘puppy in training’ jacket for one of our puppies
• $30 could buy a white harness, the iconic symbol of a working guide dog
• $35 could buy a vision rehabilitation kit for someone adjusting to life with sight loss, including tactile dots for marking items around the home, a handy guide to help sign signatures, and a liquid level indicator for making hot drinks
• $50 could buy an hour of specialist training for a guide dog
• $65 could cover the cost of a guide dog’s visit to the vet
• $175 could buy a starter kit for a new guide dog owner, containing everything they need to start life with their new dog
• $570 provides the parents of a child with a vision impairment with ten sessions of support
Guide Dogs wouldn't be here without you. Our life-changing services depend on donations. Thank you for supporting us.
