Story
I'm running the GNR Run 2025 in aid of St Cuthbert's Hospice. In 2022 after receiving the worst possible news my amazing mam bravely battled cancer for two years. Following two rounds of chemo and having her stomach removed she showed such amazing strength which inspired so many around her. My beautiful mam sadly lost her battle at the end of November 2024, she was only 60 years old. She spent her last weeks in Durhams St cuthberts hospice, I cannot say enough about how amazing the staff were and how comfortable and relaxed they made my mam feel, the staff are simply amazing and love what they do, many having personal reasons for being there. Due to government cuts this charity as well as many others need support so I want to raise money to go towards the future of the hospice giving people the most amazing treatment in the worst possible time. And giving the families of those who are in the hospice the peace of mind they are getting the best care. This is the first time I’ve ran with a personal reason and I will give my all, and of course any donations are hugely appreciated.
