Local Vocals is a choir community of over 280 local people, based in Preston, Chorley, Blackburn and Wigan, who support local charities through the joy of singing together. Each term, a local charity is nominated by our members and, so far, we've raised over £20,000 for local causes in need.

Our aim is to eradicate homelessness and poverty in our community. We support homeless people, those facing homelessness, and people experiencing crisis or poverty in the Wigan borough. People who are marginalised by society, who can, with support, become independent and contribute positively to their communities. Services include crisis intervention, housing and health support on behalf of the Council, a food bank, social and employment training, and wide-ranging volunteering opportunities. We ensure no one in our community gets left behind.
