Story
Me and my dodgy knees are going on an adventure!
On 13th May 2026, I will be taking part in the 27km Peak District Challenge with some of my colleagues at McCarthy Stone. All money raised will go to the McCarthy Stone Foundation, who continuously do great work in our communities.
The McCarthy Stone Foundation is a UK-based charity launched by retirement living developer McCarthy Stone, dedicated to combating loneliness and fostering community among older people by funding small, local charities and groups that provide social connection, purpose, and engagement for those aged 65+, offering grants up to £7,500 for core costs and specific projects like dementia support or festive events, aiming for a society where older adults feel valued and connected.
What They Do:
💙Provide Grants: Offer financial support (typically up to £7,500) to grassroots charities and community groups.
💚Focus on Older People: Support initiatives that help those 65+ feel valued, engaged, and connected.
🧡Support Specific Causes: Fund programs for dementia support (memory cafes) and festive connections, notes the McCarthy Stone Foundation.
💛Offer Non-Financial Support: Provide volunteers and resources from the wider McCarthy Stone network to partner organizations.
