Story
In April 2026, I’ll be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon on behalf of the Cleft Lip & Palate Association, for a very special boy, Fletcher💙 Please see below Fletcher’s story:
In August 2014, my auntie Ems and uncle Richard went for what they thought was a routine 20-week scan, only to be told that Pip had severe facial differences. They were later told he had a left-sided unilateral cleft lip and palate and were faced with a really difficult and emotional time.
Everything changed when they connected with the South East Cleft Team and CLAPA. Through them, my auntie and uncle found reassurance, understanding and support from people who truly knew what they were going through.
Pip was born on 22nd December 2014, and from the very beginning, he was perfect. Since then, he has undergone multiple major operations, with more still ahead, but with the love of his family and the ongoing support of CLAPA, he continues to grow into the strong, brave boy we all adore.
I’m running to give back to a charity that supported not just Fletcher, but his whole family during one of the hardest times of their lives. Every donation helps CLAPA continue their incredible work supporting children and families faced with the same challenges. Thank you so much for your support 💙🏃♀️
