Story
Every mile of the London Landmarks Half Marathon tells a story - and for Team CLAPA, it’s a story about community, resilience and support.
Across the UK, around three babies are born every day with a cleft lip and/or palate. For many families, diagnosis can feel overwhelming and isolating. Questions come thick and fast, and the journey ahead can feel uncertain. That’s where CLAPA comes in.
CLAPA is the UK’s only charity dedicated to supporting people born with a cleft and the people who love them. From the moment a family receives a diagnosis, through surgeries, speech and language development, school years and adulthood, CLAPA provides trusted information, peer support and a sense of belonging - reminding people that they are not alone.
In 2026, our incredible runners are taking on 13.1 miles through the heart of London to help make that support possible. They’ll pass iconic landmarks, but the real motivation lies beyond the route map: helping people affected by cleft access the care, confidence and community they deserve.
By supporting this campaign, you’re helping to fund vital services - including support networks, resources for families, youth programmes and advocacy work - so that people born with a cleft can thrive at every stage of life.
This isn’t just a race. It’s a chance to stand alongside thousands of individuals and families across the UK. Every donation, big or small, helps change lives - and every step our runners take is powered by your generosity.
Thank you for supporting Team CLAPA at the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2026.
