Story
I’m walking 50 miles in 20 hours on 31st May 2026 and one of the charities I’m supporting is the Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation (WTCF).
Why 50 miles in 20 hours you may wonder! Well, the whole idea came about because 2026 marks the 50th anniversary of Farrar Bamforth, the architecture practice where I work – hence 50 miles. It’s also the 20th anniversary of the Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation (WTCF) – hence 20 hours! Farrar Bamforth has been a supporter of the Foundation for several years and is the current main sponsor of the Learning Disability team.
The other charity I’m raising money for is Leeds Hospitals Charity, with funds specifically going to the Rob Burrow Centre for MND. If you’d like to see your donation go to that cause, please see my other page. https://www.justgiving.com/page/louise-davison-rob-burrows-centre-for-mnd-50in20
This is a cause close to my heart, having lost a beloved family member, my Aunty Pat, to this disease.
The starting point of the challenge is the Farrar Bamforth studio at Bates Mill in central Huddersfield, and I will walk to the mid-point of the walk – the Wakefield Trinity stadium at Belle Vue in Wakefield. I’ll then walk back to finish the walk at Bates Mill. All within the target of 20 hours!
You can see more about the challenge itself on the team page. https://www.justgiving.com/team/team-50in20
